According to data compiled from the United States Energy Information Administration, North Carolina  has a diverse energy-mix. In 2017, the state ranked 2nd in the US (after California) in the amount of installed solar power, with a generating capacity of over 4,400 megawatts (MW). North Carolina is home to the southeast US’s largest wind farm, and has a generating capacity of 208 megawatts  from over 100 turbines. For biodiesel, North Carolina’s 3 biodiesel plants provide a production capacity of 16 million gallons per year. And North Carolina’s nuclear power plants produced nearly 7% of the nation’s total nuclear output, which ranked the state 3rd in the country and contributed the largest share of North Carolina’s 2017 electricity generation at over 30%.

When you enroll in Bill Pay, Arcadia Power will receive your Duke Energy bill and we will send you one statement. This makes how you pay Duke Energy bills easier.

However, if you aren’t enrolled in Arcadia Power’s Bill Pay program, you will continue to receive your Duke Energy utility bills Additionally, if you receive separate utility bills for gas, water, or sewage, those bills from your Duke Energy (and other utilities) will continue to come in the mail.

If you’re curious, here’s how the process works:

Three days after we send your statement, we charge the payment method you provided to make sure your electric bill is paid on time, every time. And since you’re set up for autopay, you won’t need to do a thing.
